Video Editor

Leoceros is seeking a talented and creative Video Editor to join our team. The Video Editor will be responsible for editing a variety of video content including B-roll footage, documentaries, and social media reels. This role is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail, strong storytelling skills, and the ability to produce engaging and high-quality video content. The successful candidate will work closely with our production team to bring our visual projects to life and help us tell compelling stories.

Responsibilities

• B-Roll Editing:
  • Edit B-roll footage to create cohesive and visually appealing sequences.
  • Ensure that B-roll content supports the main narrative and enhances the overall video.
• Documentary Editing:
  • Edit long-form documentary footage, ensuring a strong narrative flow and engaging storytelling.
  • Collaborate with directors and producers to understand the vision and goals of each documentary project.
  • Incorporate graphics, music, and sound effects to enhance the documentary’s impact.
• Social Media Reels:
  • Edit short-form video content for social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
  • Ensure that reels are optimized for each platform’s specifications and audience engagement.
  • Create eye-catching and shareable content that aligns with current trends and brand voice.
• General Editing Tasks:
  • Review raw footage and select the best clips to use.
  • Cut and assemble video clips into a seamless final product.
  • Apply color correction, audio adjustment, and other post-production techniques.
  • Incorporate feedback from clients and team members to refine and finalize video projects.
  • Manage and organize media assets and project files efficiently.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Video Editor, with a good portfolio showcasing your work.
• Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, or DaVinci Resolve.
• Strong understanding of video production and post-production processes.
• Excellent storytelling skills with the ability to create engaging and compelling content.
• Attention to detail and a creative mindset.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote work environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Knowledge of motion graphics and animation is a plus.
• Familiarity with social media platforms and trends.

 Contract Type

• Fixed term contract with 3 months of probation period
