International Alert is a global peacebuilding charity. It offers dialogue, training, research, policy analysis, advocacy, and outreach activities focusing on solving the root causes of conflict with people from across divides.
For over 30 years, International Alert has been working to build positive peace and reduce violence. Working across conflict lines and with all parties to conflicts.
Leoceros collaborated with International Alert to develop multilingual toolkits aimed at fostering unity, collaboration, and civic engagement among youth. The objective was to create accessible, youth-friendly educational materials that support dialogue and community-building across diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
The challenge was to engage young audiences with complex topics such as conflict resolution, inclusion, and community dialogue—presented in a clear, relatable, and visually compelling way. The materials also needed to be fully trilingual (Arabic, English, and French), while maintaining consistency and cultural sensitivity.
Leoceros designed vibrant, youth-oriented toolkits featuring custom illustrations, intuitive layouts, and accessible language. Every element—from typography to iconography—was tailored to resonate with a younger demographic, while ensuring seamless alignment across all three language versions.
The final toolkits successfully bridged communication gaps and encouraged active participation among youth. Widely distributed across schools, NGOs, and youth-led initiatives, the materials played a key role in promoting cross-cultural understanding and empowering young people to contribute to peacebuilding efforts in their communities.
