About UNFPA

UNFPA is the United Nations sexual and reproductive health agency. Our mission is to deliver a world where every pregnancy is wanted, every childbirth is safe and every young person’s potential is fulfilled.

We promote gender equality and empower women, girls and young people to take control of their bodies and their futures. We work with partners in more than 150 countries to provide access to a wide range of sexual and reproductive health services, with the goal of ending unmet need for family planning, preventable maternal death and gender-based violence and harmful practices including child marriage female genital mutilation by 2030.

Our moto is “Ensuring rights and choices for all”

The project produced an AI-enhanced animated video to raise awareness about gender-based violence (GBV) and its impact. Using dynamic visuals, carefully chosen styles, colors, and transitions, the animation conveyed inclusive, data-informed narratives that resonate across different communities and dialects. Challenges included addressing a sensitive topic respectfully, reaching audiences with diverse cultural and literacy backgrounds, and creating authentic localized voiceovers. The team used English-Lebanese accents, character-driven storytelling, and culturally relevant scripts to simplify complex ideas and ensure accessibility. The video successfully engaged a wide audience, evoked strong emotional responses, and became a key tool for workshops, campaigns, and social media advocacy.
